Ježíš

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Yoga philosophy doesn´t attract me

Physically, it did me the world of good – because yoga exercises form your figure, joints are more movable and muscles more mouldable. At first, yoga philosophy filled me with pleasure as well. That´s why I liked the eastern philosophy most of all: you can work on yourself and you can go to the enlightenment by yourself and become a god.

Since my childhood I´ve been interested in all the mysterious things and have been also looking for the meaning of life.A friend of mine gave me a book about yoga and it made great impact on me.First of all, I started doing yoga exercises and then the spiritual part followed because yoga philosophy is an.inseparable part of the exercises.I read slew of books that dealt with yoga philosophy and various Hindu works and books from the Czech mystics and I was completely fascinated.

At first, I was satisfied.Physically, it did me the world of good – because yoga exercises form your figure, joints are more movable and muscles more mouldable.I went to different yoga meetings where I´d made a lot of friends. At the beginning, yoga philosophy filled me with pleasure as well.I thought it gave me answers to the questions about the meaning of life and I also liked the fact I could work on myself.I was saying to myself it was going to be the path to the sense of self-improvement and self-fulfilment.That´s why I liked the eastern philosophy most of all: you can work on yourself and you can go to the enlightenment by yourself and become a god.

Later on, I started seeing on myself some mental changes that were rather negative.I became harder and harder to please.I was trying to work harder on myself and even to renounce various pleasures that were quite normal. In addition to that, I saw yoga didn´t help me be better at those important characteristics.I simply wasn´t able to stop slandering, lying or being wicked.I also noticed that people around me who´d professed themselves to be yoga masters, didn´t act like yoga masters but they acted like every normal person who has his own sins and weaknesses. They were living a life of luxury and some of them were really wicked and tried to harm the others.I started having a feeling that we simply put on an act.

At university I came across Christian girls and I went with them to the sport events where I learned of Jesus Christ.Even then I´d been captivated that Jesus was loving. It radiated a real love that couldn´t be felt even from Hindu teachers.I had to admit Jesus is unique. He was the greatest of all gurus for me.However, I was rather upset whenever I heard Jesus´s statement:“I´m the way, the truth and the life.Nobody comes to my Father except through me.“ It was bugging me and at the same time it presented a challege for me in some way.

I had to confront eastern publications with Bible and I found out that eastern philosophy or other religions are rather based on the fact that you´re trying to do something by yourself while in Christianity God comes down to you.It is him who can change you.

Yoga philosophy hasn´t attracted me anymore since I experienced a personal and live relationship with God through Jesus. It´s sort of a whip, stress and constant drill:I must simply do this to be able to be even clearer.I must move up to another step to be able to draw nearer to God in some way.Nowdays I know that it´s sufficient to trust God and long for a change. It´s a complete freedom and I think everything´s hunky-dory although it doesn´t mean that there aren´t going to be any worries and everything´s going to be easy. But even in those difficult moments Jesus can be a tower of strength to you.He gave me all that I´d been originally looking for in vain and with such an effort in yoga.
